STIPENDS AND AWARDS
Certain Cold Spring Harbor meetings have special awards to support participation of graduate students and/or postdocs. Check individual meeting web pages for details on how to apply for these awards. Federal support may be restricted to US citizens, permanent residents or individuals working in US labs.
In general, requests for financial aid should be made by email to the individual meeting administrator listed on the meeting web page explaining financial need - note that stipends are awarded on the basis of the level of funding awarded for the individual meeting, the active participation of the person requesting support (i.e. submission of abstract), stated need, nationality/country of origin, and geographical distance.
Stipends will generally be awarded to offset the registration, room & board charges to attend a meeting. Travel support is rarely awarded (unless when a specific condition of a special award).
