Financial Aid & Awards

Certain Cold Spring Harbor meetings have special awards to support the participation of graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and/or scientists at all career levels from racial/ethnic populations that are underrepresented in the sciences. Check individual meeting web pages for details on how to apply for these awards. Federal support may be restricted to U.S. citizens, permanent residents or individuals working in U.S. labs.

In general, requests for financial aid should be made by email to the individual administrator listed on the meeting web page. Aid is awarded on the basis of funding available at the meeting, the active participation of the person requesting support (i.e., submission of an abstract), stated need, nationality/country of origin, and geographical distance from Cold Spring Harbor. Financial aid is generally awarded to offset the registration, room & board costs to attend a meeting. Travel support is rarely included unless it is a specific condition of a special award.
