Participate in the
Biological Data Science Hackathon, November 7-8, 2020 (separate application required, due by October 19, 3:00p EST)
*********
The current COVID-19 situation is challenging and difficult for all of us - we hope this virtual conference will allow colleagues to share and discuss their latest research, while under travel and stay-at-home restrictions.
*********
The fourth meeting on Biological Data Science is going fully virtual and will begin late morning EST on Wednesday, November 4 and conclude late afternoon EST on Friday, November 6, 2020. Oral sessions will be confined to later morning and afternoon sessions EST to maximize access by participants from around the world. An outline program will be posted following further discussion with the organizers.
The scope of this meeting will be the infrastructure, software, and algorithms needed to analyze large data sets in biological research. We welcome abstracts from researchers in both academia and industry who work on technical aspects of the discussion topics in all areas of biology, from genomics to imaging. We also welcome abstracts from translational and clinical researchers who regularly mine large data sets as part of their projects. The goal is to assemble a multidisciplinary audience that will discuss best practices, identify challenges, and highlight successes in the analysis of large biological data sets.

Abstracts are welcome for consideration as poster and platform presentations and should contain new and unpublished material. Status of abstracts (talk versus poster) will be posted on our Web site as soon as decisions have been made by the organizers.
All questions pertaining to registration, fees, abstract submission or any other matters may be directed to Catie Carr at carr@cshl.edu.
We are eager to have as many young scientists as possible attend since they are likely to benefit most from this meeting. We will be applying for funds from government and industry to partially support graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Please apply in writing to Catie Carr at carr@cshl.edu stating your need for financial support. Preference will be given to those submitting abstracts.
