We are pleased to announce the twelfth Cold Spring Harbor meeting on Telomeres & Telomerase bringing together a diverse group of scientists studying various molecular, cellular and genetic aspects of telomeres and telomerase biology. Because of uncertainties around COVID19 and vaccine rollout, we originally postponed the meeting from its regular slot in May to December 2021 (the meeting will then revert to its regular slot in the spring of odd years).
Because of continuing concerns about COVID19, the meeting will now be held virtually, beginning Tuesday, December 14, and will conclude on, Friday, December 17, 2021. The format of the meeting will include morning and afternoon sessions consisting of short talks, principally on unpublished work. Posters will be available throughout the conference and for six weeks after the meeting.
Unpublished material and must be submitted electronically by the abstract deadline. Selection of material for oral and poster presentation will be made by the organizers. The status (talk/poster) of abstracts will be posted on our web site as soon as decisions have been made by the organizers.

Presenters: Individuals submitting abstracts and facing financial barriers should firstly request financial aid (see above). Permission to present your talk or poster virtually will be given only in exceptional circumstances and on a case-by-case basis. If you think you are eligible for an exemption from the requirement to present in person, please provide a justification in writing via email to Val Pakaluk .
Non-presenting participants: We plan to broaden access to the conference by allowing certain categories of non-presenting participants to attend virtually at reduced fees. Categories include:
1. Additional members of individual laboratories (4th or more lab member) - PI must supply list of lab members via email to Val Pakaluk ;
2. Individuals from low & middle income countries;
3. Individuals from non-LMIC countries in Asia, Australasia, Africa or South America;
4. Individuals from US & Canadian minority serving institutions;
5. Individuals with a demonstrable financial barrier;
6. Individuals with family obligations or other special circumstances.
