NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION (NSF) DAY
Wednesday June 4, 2014
National Science Foundation
and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory
Supported by the Alfred P. Sloan
The National Science Foundation (NSF) has rescheduled a one-day workshop at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, for June 4, 2014. The meeting is intended to assist new faculty, research scientists and educators from the New York and the northeast region to learn more about NSF supported research and education programs and priorities and to better understand the NSF grant proposal and merit review process.
This event is specifically designed for new research faculty,
focusing on scientific issues and challenges in securing independent
research and education program funding. The conference is targeting faculty and will not cover grants management
or administrative compliance related issues.
Support from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation has been secured by CSHL to help defray participant costs so that registration fees can be held to a minimum. We have limited funds to partially offset attendance costs for those in real financial need. Apply in writing to Dana Lynn-Swenson by stating your need for financial support.
