Bob Darnell is the Rockefeller University Heilbrunn
Professor in Cancer Biology, Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Neuro-Oncology, and an Investigator at the Howard Hughes
Medical Institute. He is Senior Physician and Associate Program Director at the
Rockefeller University Hospital. He holds affiliate positions as Attending
Neurologist and Member at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer
Center, where he is active as an
Attending Physician, and as Professor of Neurology and Neuroscience at Cornell University Weill
Medical College.
Among numerous awards, he has received the Derek Denny-Brown Neurological
Scholar Award and the Burroughs Wellcome Fund
Clinical Scientist Award in Translational Research. He has served on the
Scientific Advisory Boards of numerous foundations, which currently include the
EMBL Gene Expression Program and NIH NINDS Board of Scientific Counselors.
