IN VIVO BARRIERS TO GENE DELIVERY
November 16 - 19, 2009
Abstract Deadline: September 18, 2009

Organizers:

Nori Kasahara, UCLA Geffen School of Medicine
Stephen Russell, The Mayo Clinic, Rochester
Jim Wilson, University of Pennsylvania

We are pleased to announce the second Cold Spring Harbor biotechnology conference on In Vivo Barriers to Gene Delivery, which will begin at 7:30 pm on Monday, November 16 and run through lunch on Thursday, November 19, 2009. This conference will provide a forum for the presentation of the most recent advances in technolgies and approaches used for monitoring vector trafficking, evading neutralizing antibodies, avoiding vector mislocalization, increasing extravasation, enhancing persistence, improving the manufacturing yield or otherwise addressing the barriers that interfere with the accuracy and efficiency of gene delivery, and the durability of expression. This unique forum is designed to stimulate future research studies in this important area and to promote interactions amongst researchers in diverse basic scientific areas relevant to this field.

Status (talk/poster) of abstracts will be posted on our web site as soon as decisions have been made by the organizers.

We are eager to have as many young people as possible attend since they are likely to benefit most from this meeting. We have applied for funds from government and industry to partially support graduate students and postdocs. Apply in writing to meetings@cshl.edu stating need for financial support - preference is given to those submitting abstracts.
