Past
Program
You are cordially invited to participate in the sixth biennial
meeting on Mechanisms & Models of Cancer
to be held at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, New York. The meeting
will begin on Wednesday, August 16, 2006, and will conclude with
lunch on Sunday, August 20. The specific goal of this conference
is to bring together a diverse group of scientists studying various
molecular, genetic, biochemical and animal model approaches to
the analysis of cancer. Junior and senior researchers will join
to discuss their latest research findings and technical approaches
toward the analysis of cancer models and mechanisms.
The format of the meeting will include morning and evening sessions
consisting of eight or nine 15-minute talks per session, selected
from the abstracts, principally on unpublished work. In addition,
there will be two poster sessions, held in the afternoons. The
organizers will decide the suitability of each abstract for oral
or poster presentation, but please specify if you prefer a poster.

must be submitted electronically by the abstract deadline. Selection
of material for oral and poster presentation will be made by the
organizers and individual session chairs. Status (talk/poster)
of abstracts will be posted on our web site as soon as decisions

We are eager to have as many young people as possible attend since
they are likely to benefit most from this meeting. We have applied
for funds from government and industry to partially support graduate
students and postdocs. Apply in writing to meetings@cshl.edu
